Ana Clara: Nunca fui tão feliz na vida.
John: It's extremely common to omit the subject "I" in Portuguese. The subjects are typically implied and are treated like explicit ones - For example,
Ana Clara: nunca fui
John: could also be...
Ana Clara: eu nunca fui
John: meaning "I've never been.” Both are correct.
Ana Clara: tão feliz na vida
John: means "so happy in my life." Listen again- "I've never been so happy." is...
Ana Clara: (SLOW) Nunca fui tão feliz na vida. (REGULAR) Nunca fui tão feliz na vida.
John: Then comes the phrase - "I love you, Luiza."
