Cultural Insight
Eric: Now it's time for a quick cultural insight.
Ana: Sometimes Brazilians use many negative words in the same sentence to mean that you are not or don’t have something. For example, Eu não tenho nada literally means "I don't have nothing." But you can’t use it to mean “I have something.” Like in English, double negatives actually retain the negative meaning in Portuguese.
