Eric: Welcome to 3-Minute Portuguese Season 1, Lesson 16 - Asking Directions. In this lesson, you’ll learn how to ask and understand basic directions in Portuguese.

Eric: Here's the way to ask 'Where is the subway?' in Portuguese.
Ana: [Normal] Onde fica o metrô?
Eric: First is a word meaning 'where'
Ana: [Normal] onde [Slow] onde
Eric: Next is the word meaning 'is located'
Ana: [Normal] fica [Slow] fica
Eric: Next is the word meaning 'the'
Ana: [Normal] o [Slow] o
Eric: Last is the word meaning 'subway'

Eric: Note the rising intonation. Listen again to the question meaning 'Where is the subway?'
