Portuguese is a very easy language to read, if you know the rules. Written words in English have lots of extra letters that aren't pronounced, like the word "enough." Portuguese isn't like that. You write how you speak, and the words sound like they are written. In other words, the same sounds written on the page are the same sounds emitted in the words. The rules are a bit complicated, but at least, there are rules, English doesn't even have those. |
